New Music: Concerto for Mandolin

Today is the release of my latest track, “Concerto for Mandolin.” I started working on this one over a year ago. The pizzicato strings parts were some of the most intricate recordings I’ve made, and the whole process took a substantial amount of time. At a certain point, I decided I wouldn’t release this one for fear of being disappointed in the response (or lack thereof). I thought I’d rather keep it to myself than post it on social media and potentially have it go largely unnoticed. But I like the music and am proud of it, and I’m trying to make and release the music I like regardless of whether anyone is terribly interested.

And honestly, even if just one of you likes it, that will mean something to me.

@bradleythomasturnerThey said it wasn’t possible to make a “Concerto for Mandolin” that was so twee even Wes Anderson would wince and I said, “Hold my negroni.” I worked on this piece for a long time, and it was an intricate process, so I hope someone likes it. And I’ll gladly post more parts of it before its April 16th release if you sing my praises in the comments.
